Convention in Philly to Explore Blockbuster Potential of Blockchain

Are you curious about how blockchain is shaping the future? Then you need to be at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Pennsylvania on August 30-31 for a two-day conference event titled ‘Coinvention: The Future in Blockchain’.

Registration is open at the www.Coinvention.io website (with a discount available if you do so on or before August 24).

For two days, you’ll get an opportunity to hear about the value of blockchain, explore crypto-economic and regulatory issues, and much more from a battery of 32 thought-leaders in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. You’ll also hear the latest in blockchain career news. Presentations will be grouped in sessions of 3-4, followed by intervals devoted to Q&A, security token offerings/initial coin offerings (STO/ICO) presentations and panel discussions.

A 24-hour-long Hackathon is scheduled for the first day of the event. Teams of hackers will be invited to compete building a project on one of the convention’s themes, which include DIY IoT, smart contracts and the arts, with prizes awarded to winners. A networking mixer event will be held on the same day.

The conference proper will take place on the second day, Friday, August 31. Leading members of the blockchain community will give presentations and interact with conference attendees on a range of topics, including regulation, innovation and mass market blockchain adoption.

Some of the speakers on the rostrum will include:

  • Dhairya Pujare, founder and CEO of Ycenter, a blockchain-based edtech platform;
  • Thomas Jay Rush, founder of Quickblocks.io, a provider of open source software libraries and tools for developers;
  • Tiffany Gray, co-chair of the United Nations Blockchain Commission for Sustainable Development;
  • Greg Strong, attorney at DLx Law, LLP; and
  • Akshay Ravi, advisor to Bitto Exchange, a cryptocurrency trading platform.

The conference venue, the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, is located in the heart of the city and is rated highly for its customer service and luxurious amenities, being recognized as one of America’s best hotels.
