Paris Blockchain Week and Google Cloud Launch Web3 Startup Competition, Reaching 100-Plus Innovative Founders

Competition will connect startups to cloud technology, investors, acceleration programs and more.

The start-up competition at Paris Blockchain Week, will kick-off today in partnership with Google Cloud. Start-ups with a focus on blockchain and Web3 will have up to the 15 Feb to apply to participate in this unique opportunity to engage with investors that have a dedicated focus on the industry and convince them to back their projects.

Participants in this inspiring competition will include promising projects in the Web3 and blockchain space. The start-up competition will put the spotlight on start-ups with high potential, providing more than 100 ambitious founders with unique exposure, plus feedback from reputable investors. Additionally, this competition offers these start-ups access to funding, acceleration programs and coaching from partners.

Paris Blockchain Week considers start-ups that raised less than €3 Mio.

Participating investors will be first in line to discover Web3 start-ups with high potential and will have the opportunity ahead of others to invest in these innovators and game changers. During the competition, more than 100 pre-screened decks will be seen by investors, who will decide which ten projects will be able to live pitch to the investors on 20 March. For ten selected founders in the programme there will be an opportunity to pitch and build their network in the frame of the Investors Day.

During the competition, the ten finalist founders will deliver their start-up pitch, followed by a brief Q&A session. The judging investors will give their insight and disclose their grades on stage. The jury is made up of successful entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders in the Web3 industry such as Tim Draper, Daniël Rood (Google Cloud), David Prinçay (Binance) and Julien Bouteloup (Stake Capital Group).

The winning three start-ups will pitch their project to Paris Blockchain attendees on the main stage at the flagship Paris Blockchain Week Summit.

Emmanuel Fenet, CEO of Paris Blockchain Week adds: “We are extremely delighted to announce the start-up competition with Google Cloud, as it underlines the entrepreneurial spirit of Paris Blockchain Week and the bright future of the industry. We gladly invite all open-minded professionals, digital assets enthusiasts, investors and entrepreneurs to gather in one amazing place.”

For start-ups, Paris Blockchain Week, and especially this competition, will be a unique opportunity to network and discuss their projects with over 150 dedicated Web3 investors. For investors the event in Paris will be the ultimate ecosystem to find and invest early in web3 start-ups with high potential.
