October is shaping up to be an active month for the XRP ecosystem, with a major industry gathering in South Korea, several network amendments, and Ripple-related events scheduled over the coming weeks.
The first major date is October 3, when XRP Seoul is due to take place at Seoul’s Grand Hyatt as part of Korea’s Blockchain Week. The event is expected to bring together Korean financial firms, Ripple’s top management, and representatives from companies working across the digital asset sector.
Ripple representatives expected to attend include its president, senior director and senior manager of ecosystem growth, the APAC sales director, and RippleX senior VP and head of engineering.
An XRP spokesperson said the event will also include discussions with Woori Bank, Kyobo Securities, and Kakao Bank, three of the largest financial firms in the country. Discussions are expected to examine developments in digital finance, including tokenization, DeFi, and blockchain-based payments.
Other names on the program include Anchored Finance CEO Wenny Cai, Soil co-founder Nicholas Motz, Datavault AI president Nathaniel Bradley, and Biconomy founder Aniket Jindal. Representatives from Tria, Jeonbuk Bank, Wellbianlabs, Ondo Finance, Evernorth, Kyobo Securities, Flare Networks, K Bank, and Creder are also expected to attend.
Beyond the event, XRP is preparing for several protocol amendments in the coming month. The Batch amendment, permissions delegation, and its related fixBatchV1_2 update are all scheduled for activation next month.
Permissions delegation is scheduled to go live on October 8, while Batch and the associated fix are targeted for Oct. 9, 2026. The amendments must maintain more than 80% support during the relevant activation period for the changes to proceed.
The planned upgrades come as the ledger continues to expand its functionality and accommodate additional applications involving digital assets and decentralized financial services. Their activation dates could, however, depend on validator voting and whether the required support threshold is maintained.
Later in October, attention is expected to turn toward Swell, scheduled for Oct. 27 through Oct. 29, 2026. The event is anticipated to draw participants from across Ripple and the XRP ecosystem, adding another significant date to an already crowded October calendar.
With developments spanning institutional finance, tokenization, decentralized applications, and changes to the underlying ledger, October could provide several notable milestones for XRP observers. The scheduled events and upgrades will offer further insight into how the ecosystem is developing across both financial and blockchain infrastructures.
